Organic Farmer’s Market

Farmer's Market is a weekly organic market in Mysore on Kalidasa road. It is run by Dr Sudarshan and Dr Padma who are very passionate about agriculture, sustainable living and environmental care.

At their farms, the vegetables and fruits grown are free from externally add chemicals and they are all organically grown. This produce is harvested and sold at their organic market that happens weekly (mostly on Sunday).

What I found unique about this market, is, it provides a platform for other organic cultivators around to sell their produce, thereby helping develop the organic farming community and its network in Mysore. The farmers sell organic items such as vegetables, fruits, free range eggs, and dairy products that entails milk and paneer.

When you visit their market, you also find their limited retail store (‘Farmer's House’) with various organic products like honey, ghee, tamarind, turmeric, etc.
